PayFast and Stitch: controlled three-day live test
Real payments: R5 now and R5 on day two; after you add the second item, R10 on day three and every day until you cancel. Peach is excluded until live recurring access is available. These are virtual, tax-free test items with no shipping charge.
Day 1 — create two separate subscriptions
- Start with an empty basket. Add one Item A only below. It uses Every day; the total is R5. Do not add Item B yet.
- Check out using PayFast, sign in or create your customer account, authorise recurring payments and complete payment on PayFast.
- Return here, add one Item A again, and complete a separate R5 checkout using Stitch. Use the same customer account so both subscriptions appear together.

Day 2 — verify the renewal, then amend each existing basket
Allow each next-day renewal to run automatically. Check that each gateway charged R5 and that WooCommerce marked the renewal paid. In My account → Subscription orders, open the existing subscription and choose Edit basket. Keep Item A and add one Live subscription test — Item B. With one of each item, the new total is R10. Review and save the amendment. Do this separately for PayFast and Stitch.
Saving an amendment must not take a new first payment or reset the next scheduled date. Make the change before the third-day renewal order is created. If a renewal is already pending, resolve that order before editing.
Day 3 — check the amended order and cancel
Verify that the third payment is R10 and its renewal order contains one Item A and one Item B. Confirm that the subscription ID and original daily schedule are unchanged. Then cancel both subscriptions in My account and check their status is Cancelled. They do not stop automatically after three days. Keep the paid orders as test evidence.
The daily date is anchored to each checkout. The two subscriptions may therefore renew at slightly different times. You enter card details only on the selected payment provider’s hosted checkout.
